He was born in Cattaraugus, NY to the late Edwin and Marjorie Ritter.
Raymond took over the family farm when he was fifteen years old and ran the farm for 65 years. He recently moved to Conewango Valley.
Loving husband to Jane (Charlesworth) Ritter for 61 years; cherished father to Steven Ritter of Jamestown, NY, Duane (Kathleen) Ritter of Port Jefferson, Long Island, NY, Diane (Mardel Cheatham) Ritter of St Louis, MO and Kevin (Adelia) Ritter of Conewango Valley, NY; grandfather of Danielle, Michael, David, Emily, Sarah, Calob, Rachel, Bridget,Meranda and several great grandchildren; brother to Donald (Barbara) Ritter of Grapevine, TX and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends may visit DiStasio-Hills Funeral Chapel Inc. 55 S. Main St. Cattaraugus,NY, Wednesday from 6PM to 8PM and Thursday from 11AM to 1PM where a funeral service will immediately follow.
Interment in Liberty Park Cemetery.
