Mary Irene (Mooney) Race
Mary “Irene”(Mooney) Race, 100 of Cattaraugus, NY entered into rest January 12, 2022. at the Pines in Olean, NY
She was born July 13, 1921 in Collins, MS to the late Richard and Mary (Lofton) Mooney.
Irene loved spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving children James R. (Margaret Shultz) Race, Linda M. (Pete Rapacioli) Mesch; her eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Andrew, her son Donald, a grandson Brandon Mesch, one great grandchild and seven siblings
A funeral service will be held in the spring at Roberts Memorial Free Methodist Church Cattaraugus, NY with Pastor Mike Jones officiating.
Interment will be in Liberty Park Cemetery
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cattaraugus Ambulance Fund P.O. Box 44, Cattaraugus, NY 14719
Arrangements entrusted to DiStasio Funeral Home.
