Loretta I Nobles

SOUTH DAYTON: Loretta I. Nobles, 80, died Monday, October 13, 2014 at Gowanda Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Gowanda, NY following a brief illness.

Loretta was born January 25, 1934 the daughter of the late Lloyd and Gladys Mosher Smith. She graduated from Pine Valley Central School. She married Norris L. Nobles on June 25, 1955 in the South Dayton United Methodist Church. Loretta was a retired therapy aide for JN Adams Developmental Agency in Perrysburg, where she worked for more than 20 years.  She was a member of the Chautauqua County Antique Equipment Association; Hillside Club of South Dayton; Forestville Pioneer Social Club; South Dayton United Methodist Church; a Lifetime Member of Cherry Creek VFW Auxiliary Post # 2522; The South Dayton Red Hat Society; Ladies Bowling League and was an avid bowler at South Dayton Pine Lanes.

She is survived by two sons Greg H. (Tammy) Nobles of Cleveland, OH; Jeff (Laura) Nobles of Rochester, NY; Cindy N. (Mark) Cybart of Forestville, NY; a sister Josephine (Jeffrey) Beightol of South Dayton, NY, seven grandchildren Matt, Stacy, Chad, Aaron, Caitlin, Stephen, and Emily, also a great grandson Dylan Matthew, and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Loretta was preceded in death by her beloved husband Norris Nobles who passed away on July 6, 2014, two daughters Judy Marie Nobles and Mary Nobles, and two brothers Howard Smith and Lloyd Smith, Jr.

Friends and family will be received for visitation at Hills Funeral Chapel on Wednesday July 15, 2014 from 4-7 PM.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 16, 2014 at  11:00 A.M. at Hills Funeral Chapel. Rev. Becky Ward, Pastor of Cattaraugus Wesley UMC will be officiating.  Burial will be in the Villenova Cemetery in South Dayton. Family suggests memorials to So. Dayton Fire Department, Box 88, So. Dayton, NY.
