John H Colburn
John H. Colburn, 91, of Cherry Creek, NY went to be with Christ in Heaven October 24, 2019.
He was born April 30, 1928 in Conewango, NY to the late Justin T. and late Lucy F. (Sharp) Colburn.
John was married to the love of his life Ethel F. Park on September 17, 1949 and they just celebrated their 70th anniversary.
He worked for Dahlstrom Manufacturing where he was a brake operator for 28 years.
John was a member of the Cherry Creek Baptist Church and was a lifetime member of the Cherry Creek Fire Department for over 50 years.
He loved fishing, hunting, camping, gardening, horseshoes and loved traveling to visit family and go sightseeing.
John is survived by his wife Ethel, his children Steve, Kathy, Dan, Pat and Jeff; 18 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by two sons John Jr. and Mike, one grandson Mike Jr., one great granddaughter Kaelani and 11 siblings.
Relatives and friends may visit DiStasio Funeral Home 478 Route 83 At Balcom Corners, South Dayton Monday from 2PM to 4PM and 7PM to 9PM where a funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11AM.
Interment will be at Cherry Creek Central Cemetery
