John Lukaszewski

John Francis Lukaszewski, affectionately known to others as
“Johnny”, or “Big John”, 67, of Cherry Creek, unexpectedly
passed on to his heavenly home Monday, June 07, 2021.

After retiring from the petroleum production plant industry
in Texas, Johnny and his wife Patricia relocated to Cherry
Creek in 2006, and both became immediately involved in
the community. Johnny was a member of many
organizations including the Cherry Creek Fire Department
as well as many other avenues of public service, but of
those he was most passionate about his role at Cherry
Creek United Methodist Church, where he served as Lay
Leader under Pastor John Dedloff. His passion was poured
most heavily into “Clean, Sober and Saved” as well as
“Serenity Starts Here” where he was a constant source of
support both at meetings and outside of them, being a recovered and redeemed man

Johnny’s spirit and memory live on through his beloved wife Patricia, (known to
loved ones as “Pattie”) who stood loyally by his side in life since July 30, 1985, and will
remain devoted to her one true love, even in death. Together they have shared the best
this life has to offer, and have endured the worst, not only remaining best friends through
all of it, but being truly strengthened and better able to support their community through
their experiences and their marriage to one another, but first to God. {Ecclesiastes 4:9-12}
Johnny’s living legacy is found in many, his pride and joy lies first in their daughters, Angel
Lukaszewski-McDonald (husband Paul), and Kaelynn Fischer-Melinski.
Johnny”s name lives on in his only sibling Rodney J. Lukaszewski and wife Linda. They also
were blessed with two daughters, Sara L. and Katy L. Lukaszewski.
Johnny also continues to live through his many grandchildren, Brannon L. McDonald,
Megan L. McDonald, Decil A. Kellam, Dillon M. R. Mica, and Mallory N. Nason, as well as so
very, very many children he loved in his community who were adored by him.

A Celebration of Johnny’s life will be held at Cherry Creek United Methodist Church
